‘Mezz Press’ is Amorn’s private studio established in 2017 at San Sai, Chiang Mai. The studio focuses on the mezzotint, a process of the intaglio printing family, which requires technical skill and special tools to project light and shadow onto pre-pricked copper plates. The image scratched onto the plate surface will be compressed by the ink and printed onto a paper with the etching press.

Class Size: up to 3 person
All Levels, but some printmaking experience is recommended.
Workshop Description: Our workshop will start with the fundamentals of mezzotint printmaking, beginning with the preparation of copper plates until the printing edition process. We will cover the use of traditional tools and techniques to create both black and white images. Additionally, You will receive your plate and 6 edition print at the end of the workshop.
